Sprayer drops down and sprays a liquid lubricant then blasts off excess lube off with air on its way back up.

The die then closes and liquid metal is then poured in the shot sleeve.

Then the piston moves forward pushing the metal into the die cavity.

The part then solidifies, the die opens, and the part is forced out of the die and falls below.
