Philippians 2:12-18 Gospel Obedience OXYMORON? Like Legal Ethics Like Military Intelligence Like Intense Apathy No, the gospel changes your life. The gospel turns you from a recipient to a messenger of God’s grace. However, the message is lost unless there is social harmony and the forsaking of self interest in the church for the sake of the gospel.

IT IS ABOUT HOW WE LIVE OUT THE GOSPEL IN THE BODY OF CHRIST 1. FOCUS IS ON BEHAVIOR OF THE CHURCH AS A WHOLE – ETHICS BASED ON THE EXAMPLE OF CHRIST – Phil 2:5- 11 2. DIRECTED TO THE CHURCH AND ITS UNITY – see Phil 2:2 3. GOAL IS ON THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH – the advancement of the gospel – Phil 1:27
