THE FOOTBALL DYNASTY OF THE DECADE

HISTORY The New England Patriots became part of the NFL in the 1970 merge of the AFL and NFL. They were known as the Boston Patriots until they moved to Foxborough, Massachusetts.

In 1985, the New England Patriots made their first appearance to the big stage….Super Bowl XX. Unfortunately they lost to the Chicago Bears.

In 2000, the new England Patriots hired Bill Belichick as the head coach. In 2oo1, the Patriots won their first Super Bowl by defeating the St. Louis Rams The Dynasty Begins

Another Year, Another Trophy After a disappointing 2002 season, The Patriots won two Super Bowls back to back in 2003 and 2004 by defeating the Carolina Panthers and The Philadelphia Eagles.

It would not have been possible for the Patriots to have won their Super Bowls without the awesome performance from their Quarterback, Tom Brady.

Tom Brady Tom Brady was named Most Valuable Player in 2 of the 3 Super Bowls. In both games, he lead his team back to win in the 4 th quarter.

In 2007, the New England Patriots made one of the best decisions ever by signing one of the greatest Wide Receivers of all time, Randy Moss. Adding Moss to the roster gave the team a tremendous boost. Moss recorded 1,493 yards in his first season as a Patriot. Randy Moss

2007 SEASON In the 2007 season, the New England Patriots finished the regular season with the perfect record of Their final record that year was 18-1 after losing the Super Bowl to the New York Giants.

This season, the Patriots are currently 7-5. They are currently leading their division but not by much. Hopefully we can still win the Super Bowl.
