Leadership Providing clinical leadership to the London Trauma System Ensuring all elements work together to form an inclusive trauma system Monitoring performance and ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of care delivered at all stages of the trauma pathway Developing future strategy Coordinate research, education and training activities

Practical implications Set up the London Trauma Office to: Oversee the implementation and operation of the London Trauma System Develop and maintain the overall profile of London trauma services Represent the London trauma system at appropriate forums Provide clinical input to London Commissioning Group meetings Report to the London Trauma Board and the London Medical Director Provide an annual report

Monitoring Develop a real time Clinical Coordination Function to monitor the incidence and flows of trauma patients Develop and agree appropriate Performance Standards across the system Monitor feedback on Performance Management from all 4 networks within the system Provide updates to the London Trauma Board and Commissioning process
