What are the 6+1 Traits of Writing?  The 6+1 Traits of Writing is a researched based, systematic approach to breaking down the complicated process of writing.  Provides 6+1 areas of writing to focus instruction and learning in.  Provides teachers and students a common vocabulary for writing across disciplines.  Simplified to traits of writing used across all forms of writing (expository, descriptive, persuasive, and narrative)
