The State Philippines is located in the southeast Asia. The Philippines owns more than 7100 islands, the largest are Luson, Mindanao, Samarium, Panay, Palavan, Negros, Mindoro, Leyte. General area of the islands is 299,7 square km.

The capital is situated on island Luzon. It is Manila. Manila is the main cultural and economic centre of Philippines. You can find National museum, museum of natural history and anthropologies Santo-Thomas.

The Climate of the state is tropical, in the south subtropical. The North regions of Philippines are attacked by typhoons and storms. In tropical forests of island grow the palms, rubber plants, bamboo, orchids, cinnamon. On Philippines dwell deer, ichneumons, wild boars, different species of birds and reptiles.

The Population of island is more than 9o million people. The Official languages of the state are Pilipino and English. The Majority of the population (83%) are roman Catholics, there are also Moslems and protestants.

The Philippines attract tourists by their wonderful beaches and picturesque coral reefs. On island Sebum, Boboli and Palavan there are the best known tourist resorts.
