Edvard Munch is a famous painter. Edvard Munch was born in a rustic farmhouse in the village of LøtenLøten, Norway. He was born on December the 12th of He was Norwegian.

Edvard Munch died in Norway the 23rd of January of His mother and sister died when he was a child. So, he was a sad man.

He studied at University to become an engineer. But, he needed to express his feelings. So he started to paint.

He went to Paris.

He liked Paul GauguinGauguin, Vincent van GoghGogh, and Henri Toulouse- Lautrec Vincent van Gogh Henri Toulouse- Lautrec Paul Gauguin Munch considered them his teachers.

Edvard Munch started a new artistic movement: EXPRESSIONISM He said: “I want to paint living people, breathing and feeling, suffering and loving.”

His most famouse painting is: THE SCREAM.
