Current situation at UniGE Learning tools available for teachers and students –2 LMS (i.e., Dokeos and Moodle) –Multimedia server (Mediaserver) –Simulation and didactic tools –Learning objects repository (FedoraLOR)

So what is missing ? A tool where students can : –Store and manage their productions –Make personal reflections on them –Select them to showcase –Illustrate student competencies to colleagues/teachers/employers e-portfolio

What is an e-portfolio ? “product, created by the learner, a collection of digital artifacts articulating experiences, achievements and learning.” (JISC, 2008)

Therefore, we need To collect the needs (teachers, students, institution) To choose To Integrate –Shibboleth –Dokeos and Moodle connectors –Templates To inform and train students and teachers To collaborate –Within the university –With other institutions
