Tag Question Tag Question is a question that is added into the end of a sentence. An auxiliary verb is used in a tag question. Examples: -You know Krisdayanti, don’t you? -Joko is from Solo, isn’t he? -You don’t know Febry, do you? -Joko isn’t from Bali, is he?

When this or that is used in the first part of the sentence, the tag question should be used it. e.g. This is your book, isn’t it? When these or those is used in the first part of the sentence, the tag question should be used they. These are your shoes, aren’t they? When the subject everybody, anybody, somebody, someone, etc so the tag question should be used they e.g. Nobody stayed there, did they? Someone is staring at her, aren’t they?

When the sentence which is using the words seldom, never, and hardly it’s mean that the sentence negative so the tag question should be in positive. e.g. He never comes to the meeting, does he? When the sentence which has a meaning Command and Request we use will or shall in the tag. e.g. lend me the books, will you? Let’s go to the movie, shall we?
