1 Letters to Churches: messages from God PHILIPPIANS – Serving the Lord in all joy!

2 You are doing great … my prayer:  Paul’s gratitude: (v.3-8) Fellowship in the gospel Fellowship in the gospel Partakers in the work, suffering and grace Partakers in the work, suffering and grace  Paul’s prayer: (v.9-11) Love abound in knowledge & discernment Love abound in knowledge & discernment Approve things that are excellent Approve things that are excellent Be sincere Be sincere Filled with fruit of righteousness Filled with fruit of righteousness Phil. 1:1-11

3 To live is Christ – to die is gain!  Prison … furtherance of the gospel (v.12-14)  Selfish, insincere teachers … teach! (v.14-18)  Executed - released … both good! (v.19-26) Let your conduct worthy of the gospel (v.27-30) Phil. 1:12-30 Let it go. Stuff doesn’t matter. Think spiritually, selflessly, godly.

4 Look out for the interests of others!  Fulfill expectation of the gospel. (v.1-2)  It’s not about me! (v.3-4)  Adopt the mind & conduct of Christ. (v.5-11) True disciples look and act like the Master! Phil. 2:1-11 The bigger, better, stronger the church … the easier to adopt a served rather than serve attitude!

5 Work out your own salvation!  Not matter if anybody is looking. (v.12)  With fear and trembling! (v.12)  Without murmuring & complaining. 6 Count all things loss for Christ and Press on to the goal!  Rejoice – in the Lord – not other stuff (v.1-7)  Nothing here compares to eternal life (v.8-11)  Keep pushing – more/better. (v.12-16)  There are good & bad examples (v.17- 4:1) Phil. 3:1- 4:1

7 I can do all things through Christ!  Work out your troubles. (v.2-3)  Rejoice…be gentle…pray! (v.4-7)  Get your heart right. (v.8-9)  Learn contentment. (v.10-20) Phil. 4:2-20

8 Serving the Lord in all Joy!  Get focused and pursue spiritual growth.  Joy & selfless service no matter what.  Keep giving for others, always.  Don’t complain … get to work.  Think spiritually and act eternally.  With the right attitude – it’s all good.
