Participant Application Process Application Complete application to indicate interest: Writer Reviewer (Content, Bias/Sensitivity, Proofreader/Editor) Writer & Reviewer Training Three Options: Previously trained (other CFAC grants)--move to next step Webinar with CTE team Online training on CourseSites.com

Participant Application Process Item Samples & Tests After training is completed, all applicants must complete exercises or submit items to be reviewed for quality consideration: Item writer & content reviewer must submit 4 items Bias/Sensitivity reviewer must successfully complete a Bias/Sensitivity exercise Proofreading/Editing reviewer must successfully pass a Proofreader Test Items must be approved before applicant can begin item writing and/or reviewing

Participation Application Process Item Writing & Reviewing ONCE APPLICANT'S ITEMS ARE APPROVED Sign-up to write items Complete paperwork: Originality of Work Agreement Security Agreement Consultative Services Agreement (non-Polk County teacher) OR Special Activities Form (Pok County teacher) Work Sessions Work Sessions are optional but strongly encouraged and will be scheduled in North, Central, and South Florida locations Invitations to attend will be sent by Project Managers

Changes to CourseSites

 Increase communication and collaboration with CFAC Districts.  Implement effective naming protocols to facilitate item identification on the Florida Item Bank.  Limit item writers to develop 10 items at a time.  Clean-out item writer sign-up sheets periodically.  Provide detailed feedback to writers of rejected items.  Improve item reviewer chain of command protocols.  Level 2 (Bias/Sensitivity) and Level 3 (Proofreaders) will not reject items on the basis of content or complexity level. If there is an issue that arises, reviewers are to notify a project manager for resolution. Lessons Learned from Previous Grants
