About Maine CTE 135 High Schools connecting with 27 CTE centers and regions Mid-Coast Region – Region 8/ Mid-Coast School of Technology 7 sending schools including 2 islands

Programs of Study Educational plan defined for a student career pathway Describes progression from secondary to postsecondary levels, identifying required courses and sometimes including CTE. Maine secondary CTE schools are required to document the necessary secondary courses at both the student’s high school and CTE center/region through postsecondary options

Standards Each Maine CTE program has adopted one or more national or state-level standards tied to the needs of business and industry. v0

Why 3 rd Party Assessment and Credentialing Assessments are used by CTE instructors as a program pre-test, as part of a formative assessment plan, and as an end-of-program exam providing students with certification. – Some assessments are industry-specific skills CTEC Small Engines and Multi Media – Some assess general workplace skills. CTEC Workplace Readiness Skills Pre- and Post-Test

The Guiding Principles state that each Maine student must leave school as-
