Use a Conversational Voice in the Cafeteria

Using a conversational voice means to be quiet and not being extremely loud or obnoxious. When talking in the cafeteria you should be quiet so the cafeteria doesn’t get too loud.

During lunch Zachary sits at the table. As he is sitting, Dennis runs up behind him and screams “Hurry up Zach, sit down!!!” Was this right or wrong?

During lunch April is walking back to her seat when her friend walks up behind and they quietly talk about their recess plans.

A large group of students are telling loud jokes that make fun of other people, everyone laughs and gives each other high fives.

Tom, Sara, Rachel and Megan sit huddled together at breakfast before school to quietly discuss their homework from last night.

You should be quiet when you are in the cafeteria. If you make loud noises or talk too loudly you will add to all the noise.
