My favourite poem Soldier Freddy Soldier Freddy was never ready, But! Soldier Neddy, unlike Freddy Was always ready and steady, That's why, When Soldier Neddy Is-outside-Buckingham-Palace-on-guard-in -the-pouring-wind-and-rain-being-steady-and-ready , Freddy is home in beddy. Spike Milligan

Why I like this poem It’s funny, because Spike Milligan was a funny man. I don’t think it has a very powerful message though. There’s lots of rhyme. It has a lot of alliteration but not much else! It’s a silly story about two soldiers and it makes me laugh. This is a picture of Spike Milligan dressed as a soldier Spike !
