Warm-Up In “The Most Dangerous Game,” a hunter faces a life-threatening conflict. Complete the sentence frame below to prepare you for some of today’s reading and discussion. To succeed in a fight for survival, a person needs to_____________ because___________.

Warm-Up “The Most Dangerous Game” presents various perspectives on hunting for sport. Rainsford states, “The world is made up of two classes—the hunters and the huntees.” It comes down to the thrill of the chase. This philosophy can be applied to modern life in many ways. In your opinion is it more fun to be the chaser, or to be chased? Is it easier to be the hunter, or the huntee?

Learning Goal I will identify various types of conflict, practice making inferences, and discuss possible universal themes by reading and responding to Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game.”
