Strategy for Promotion of Intercropping System with Pulses Crops in Kharif Season Bringing about 1.00 Lakh Hectare Area of Upland Maize, Coarse Cereals Millets and Pigeon Pea under Intercropping System with Pulses Crops like Moong Bean, Urd Bean, Cow Pea, Horse Gram & Soya bean. Replace Upland Rainfed Paddy Field By Coarse Cereals Like Sorghum, Pearl Millet, Porso Millet, Barnyard Millet, Foxtail Millet To Facilitates Intercropping Of Above Pulses Crops As Well As To Face Scanty Rain Fall Or Drought Situation. Seed Production of above Crops on Government Farms As well As Farmer’s Field under Seed Village Scheme to Meet the Requirement of Seed under Intercropping System of Pulses. Emphasis on Intercropping System Programme As Above Under Work Plan of Central & State Scheme.
