The Pearl Poet By: Ashley Miller

The Pearl Poet  Almost nothing is known about him.  The name comes from first poem, “Pearl” found in “Sir Gawain.”  Is thought to have written four poem,Pearl, Purity, Patience and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

The Pearl Poet  The poem were written around  Which would make the poet a contemporary of Geoffrey Chaucer.  Although The Pearl Poet did not live in London.

The Pearl Poet  Generally he is remembered for his narrative poem 'Sir Gawain and the Green Knight'.  He wrote in the northern part of England.
