eSurvey - Comments Other than location what impacts decision: Topics - 23 hits (More, better, different, fewer but deeper, specifics like TM’s & copyrights) Time of year/Schedule – 10 hits (Earlier, later, timing) Speakers - 5 hits More Judges- 4 hits Daily fee- 2 hits Other: CLE, Daily Fee, Supervisor approval/encouragement…

Attendees - Comments Other than location what impacts decision: Topics - 36 hits Speakers - 17 hits Judges – 3 hits Facilities – 9 hits Other: Love it, “if it ain’t broke”, better chairs, keep as is, need a test, cost.

Observations Strong Core group of attendees. Topics and speakers drive attendance Thursday – Saturday schedule highly favored Slightly more eSurvey respondents prefer Houston for Many more attendees preferred Galveston Most attendees prefer Galveston every year but many also prefer alternating with Houston and some prefer Houston. eSurvey respondents are split b/w Houston and Galveston. Only 6 indicated they did not attend 2010 due to venue For 2012, HIPLA Board and UH will investigate Houston locations. Costs could be a mitigating factor.
