Whitney Houston was born on the 9th of August in 1963 in Newark in the USA.

She was an american singer, actress, producer and model. She was one of the world's best selling music artists. She sold over 200 million records worldwide. She got diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification.

Her first acting role was as the star of the feature film The Bodyguard. Its lead single "I will always love you" became the best selling single by a woman in music history.

She also starred in the films "Waiting to Exhale" and "The Preacher's wife".

Her best songs are: " Saving all my love for you", "How will I know", "Greatest love of all", " I wanna dance with somebody", "Where do broken hearts go", " I'm your baby tonight".

She was married to Bobby Brown. She had a daughter Bobby Kristina who was born in 1994.

Whitney Houston died on the 11th of February in 2012 in Beverly Hills.
