Introduction In accordance with the RIS-directive, the expert group Electronic Reporting International defines and maintains messages and the respective reference tables to enable electronic reporting to the competent authorities ERI-ExpertgroupSlide -2-

Introduction To ensure that the Shippers have the correct information ‘on board’ in order to fulfill the reporting formalities, it is of outmost importance that the skipper will obtain correct information electronically. Added value => Electronically information will reduce number of papers on board, reduce administrative burden, etc etc ERI-ExpertgroupSlide -3-

Introduction On the 25 january 2010 the technical specifications for electronic ship reporting(2010/164/EC) has been published. The technical specifications contains a set of messages as defined by ERI ERI-ExpertgroupSlide -4-
