Surprise Lake 07/24/2008 Paddling Friends1 Surprise Lake, Thu July 24  Temp 75º, 65 minutes on water  The weather was great! Especially since we have been “stormed out” on so many Thursday’s this season.  Put-in was at the south landing; Obmas used the north landing.  First topic of conversation: where to go to eat?  We saw the resident loon a few times.  We went to Kathy’s Valley Inn for pizza and sandwiches; this is the tavern in the valley along hwy 32 with the snowmobile on the roof.
