Surprise Lake 07/24/2008 Paddling Friends1 Surprise Lake, Thu July 24 Temp 75º, 65 minutes on water The weather was great! Especially since we have been “stormed out” on so many Thursday’s this season. Put-in was at the south landing; Obmas used the north landing. First topic of conversation: where to go to eat? We saw the resident loon a few times. We went to Kathy’s Valley Inn for pizza and sandwiches; this is the tavern in the valley along hwy 32 with the snowmobile on the roof.
