SOPOT

Sopot is a part of Tri- city ( Gdansk - Sopot - Gdynia ). Gdańsk the old Crane Gdynia harbour

It is the most famous holiday resort in Poland.

It is situated by the Baltic Sea.

The resort was set up by a Napoleon’s officer J. G. Haffner at the beginning of the 19th century.

From that time Sopot started fast development and in 1901 it received town charter. Sopot’s Town Hall

Characteristic architecture for this area are tenement houses, mansion and villas.

Sopot is crowded with tourists, especially in summer, so there are a lot of guest houses and hotels.

The oldest and the most important is the GRAND HOTEL, situated by the beach.

In the main street you will find lots of restaurants, pubs and small cafes. If you enjoy busy night-life, you can go to one of many night-clubs.
