This screen is repeated twice and I don’t know why Pay attention to DATES of when the Surveys were -Established -Modified -Activated -Used -Response -Count

Note: After you clicked on “Index of Surveys You are Currently Editing,” the highlighted tab is “Design” Click on “Work with (edit) this survey” Editing is available for Student, Parent, and Teachers

Note: ONLY use the links, DO NOT USE THE BACK BUTTON ON BROWSER DO NOT edit any of the questions that are preset You may add up to 5 questions at the end of each survey. Make sure you add questions to ALL surveys to make your evaluations consistent. Participant must answer all “required” questions in order to exit survey

-Most questions on Survey are tied to Crosswalk to Student Learning Outcomes of: -Life/Career Development -Personal/Social Development -Academic/Learning Development -Multicultural/Global Development

Adding 5 Questions to Survey... 1. All Needs Assessment surveys have been ACTIVATED by the State 2. If you have already LAUNCHED your survey to the public (# responses are posted), you can no longer edit nor add questions to your survey If you have NOT launched your survey, you may add questions to survey by clicking on “Activate” tab at top of screen 4. Click on “deactivate” survey

Double-check your work by clicking on “See Response Format” Example of what you will see

After you have added up to 5 questions, then click on “Activate” tab at top of screen

Check the box “or elect that respondents will not have pin assigned (OPEN) box Click on “Activate this Survey”

You do not need to use “Invite” tab because you have invited all participants.

Launching Needs Assessment Survey to Students, Parents, Teachers Direct those taking the survey to this URL: http://www.counselorsroom.org/UtahDD. “DD” is replaced by your district number. (Example: for Alpine School District schools the URL is: http://www.counselorsroom.org/Utah1. Your link can be added to your webpage for participants to take the survey on their own computer. ***If you do not know your district number, please contact your lead counselor or CTE Director. We suggest that you provide contact information to your survey takers Go to your My Account tab Edit your email and / or your phone number Edit your options (just below the phone number)

Filter Features… Why would we choose exclude a featured group? Look below for an example: I chose to exclude students whose parents’ highest level of education was 2+ years of college. Why?

I wanted to know if there was a difference of aspirations between Students whose Parents completed 2+ years of college Vs. Parents who did not complete 2+ years of college…… I found results to be… Thus, my conclusions are…

Data Feature: “Show all results on screen”… When counselors make classroom presentations, or run groups, which topics do you feel are most valuable?  1 = This would be most valuable  2 = This would be valuable  3 = This would be valuable but not as valuable as 1 and 2 What is the Data showing?

Bringing it all together: The State Needs Assessment covers the 4 Domains from the Comprehensive Counseling and Guidance Student Learning Outcomes Vetted through counselors throughout state for 2 years FREE tool for CCGP-approved programs Available in Spanish for Spanish-speaking Parents It supports counselor time providing direct services to students The Teach/Touch Survey is an added feature available, too It is one of the pieces of data combined with other available data to help Counselors and Principal identify and target interventions The data and targeted intervention goals are shared with faculty and staff. The results of these interventions are shared with school community including school board
