It tells you that if you are not like them you are not cool and so you should look like them. The Negative Influences of Media

You get very confusing messages Media says being fat is bad. But at the same time there are several thousands of advertisements of junk food that result in a person gaining fat. They create so much of insecurity among children

Media affects the self-esteem and actions of boys by creating stereotypes that make them to live up to. They idolize Superman, Spiderman and Batman The message is, “Be strong and powerful.” The ideal body image projected is, “tall, muscular, dark, strong, perfect.” So much of violence associated- gun, bombs, physical violence etc. In the Case of Young Men

It is money that drives media. They want to ensure that people buy more and more.

Media’s value is instant gratification I want money FATAFAT I want success FATAFAT I want love FATAFAT

Do not allow TV, Internet and Mobile to control you. Begin to ask the question WHY Use media responsibly. Do not be a videogame, mobile phone or internet addict. What should we do?

Use time in study- prepare a timetable for you Play games that involve physical activity, instead of computer games Spend quality time with your family members in mutually interesting hobbies, activities that involve talking, sharing and emoting. Spend time with nature. What should we do?
