-Works- Manufactured paintings for personal customers plus all the work he had done at the court Jan Van Eyck signed and dated his paintings on their frames The works he made contained two remarkable commemorative panels, religious paintings, exceptionally haunting portraits,and number of self- portrait

-Education- Van Eyck had some understanding of Latin for his many assignments overseas in support of the Duke He got educated in some location in Pliny There he learned how to draw, paint, and master in colors

-Family- All of his brothers were painters His sister, Margaret, was also identified as a painter (1568) He is known as the most famous member of a family Brother is Hubert Van Eyck born in 1366

-Birth- Birth after 1395 Maaseik, Belgium

-Death- Death in 1441 Van Eyck was buried there in the Church of St Donatian Bruges, Belgium Brother died in September 18, 1426
