How to Create a Page

Step 1:

Step 2: Choose your association

Step 6: Log in or Create an Account

Step Q: Upload a graphic or logo

Step iii: Add info about your club

Last step: Create and easy link to your page

Second Last Step: Add more info

Now What? (how to use it)

Now it’s time to … PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE Tell your club, friends, family, etc. about your new Facebook page. Tell everyone to “LIKE” your page. Put the link to your page on promotional materials (facebook.com/eastcobblions)

How to reach people who “LIKE” your page

Interaction & Awareness

Promote Fundraisers

Find Volunteers

Use Facebook Responsibly! Remember: Everything you post is PUBLIC information, and searchable – There are security settings, but they are a bit tricky DON’T post that you are on vacation – people who see your post will know you home is empty DON’T post anything you wouldn’t want on the 6 o’clock news Be cautious of the personal information you post Be cautions of “location services” – do you really want people to know where you are?

Summary Facebook provides your club with an online presence, one that reaches a broad audience (recruitment) Instantaneous communication and promotion – When you post it, people who “like” your page receive it immediately Volunteers will find your postings and join your service projects Higher revenues for fundraisers by increasing awareness and by offering another marketing channel Heightened awareness of Zone and District activities – Strengthens our district as a whole
