4 LIGO-G V3 LLO Laser Safety During aLIGO Installation 1)Read the SOP for your laser-of-interest. 2)A diagram of the laser setup must be approved by the LSO. 3)Work rules are found in M There are no exceptions. 4)There is no work without a work permit (Ref: M950046). 5)ALL laser activity must be coordinated with the on-duty control room operator. (Carry a phone.) 6)Live laser activity without a prior transition to laser hazard is not permitted. 7)The RLO is simultaneously responsible for BOTH PSL and LDR hazard zones. 8)M – Restricted Work Alone Policy is enforced. 9)M – Lockout/Tagout Policy is enforced.
