PARTS OF THE MOUSE 1.Left-Click button 2.Scroll Wheel (optional) 3. Right-Click button 4. Hand Rest

LEFT - CLICK The most commonly used button on the mouse is the left-click button, with it you can: Select to perform an action {“click on….”} Position Cursor Click and Drag (move items) We say “click” instead of “left-click” because it is implied and understood that they mean the same thing.

DOUBLE - CLICK A Double-click also uses the left button, though you need to click it twice in rapid succession while holding the mouse still. We would do this to open a file or folder by clicking on it’s name or it’s icon. This also opens programs on the computer

RIGHT- CLICK The Right –Click button is used to open a menu. A Menu is a list of items to choose from. To select an item from the Menu, you would click.
