Computer Lab Rules 1.Use voice level 1. 2.Stay seated while in the lab. 3.You may quietly ask a neighbor for help. 4.Raise your hand to get your teacher’s attention. 5.Ask for teacher permission before printing. 6.Leave the lab better than you found it—push in your chair and put your headphones on the left side of the monitor.

Monitor—center your body in front of the monitor
CPU—the brains of the computer This is where you can power on the computer and insert cds.
Keyboard—keep your body centered in front of the keyboard
Mouse—keep your pointer finger on the right hand side of the mouse. Double click on icons and single click on everything else.
Headphones—use these with websites and software programs that have sound

Desktop – the blue screen on your monitor
Icon – a picture you click on to open a program or file
