2 Samuel 11-12

Ecclesiates 2:10 “I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure.”

1 Kings 11:1-3 “King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh’s daughter—Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and Hittites.

They were from nations about which the Lord had told the Israelites, “You must not intermarry with them, because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods.” Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love.

He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray.”

Matthew 5:28 Jesus says, “but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart”

2 Samuel 12:13 “Then David said to Nathan, ‘I have sinned against the Lord.’”

Job 31:1 “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.”

Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Matthew 15: “But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.”

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.”

2 Samuel 11-12
