When Tempted… DON’T Blame God DO Blame Yourself DO Look to Him

James 1: Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

James 1: Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. 18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.

If it’s not God’s fault, then who do we blame?

When Tempted … DO Blame Yourself 14 But each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

1 Corinthians 10:13 13 …God is faithful; he will not let you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

When Tempted… DO Look Up 17 Every good and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of Lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

2 Timothy 2:22 22 Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

DON’T blame God because He does not tempt anyone DO blame yourself because the evil desires are ours DO Look to Him because He is unchanging and will always provide an escape
