FDR’s position on Civil Rights In June 1941, Roosevelt created the Fair Employment Practices Committee (FEPC). It was the most important federal move to help the African-Americans Civil rights. Which caused many African-Americans to get jobs that paid with better wages.

Key Words Eleanor Roosevelt – Wife of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. First Lady of the United States. A political leader who spoke for people’s rights. National Youth Administration – Provided work and education for Americans between the ages of 16 and 25.
