Thesis Statement:  Eleanor Roosevelt was more than just the first lady, her hard work and dedication for helping people has reshaped the world through the Declaration of Human Rights.

Eleanor Roosevelt  Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was born in New York City on October 11, Her father was Elliot Roosevelt, President Theodore Roosevelt's younger brother and her mother was Anna Hall, a member of the distinguished Livingston family. Both her parents died when she was a child, her mother died in 1892, and her father died in  ER. loved helping people and with that characteristic she was a leader.

How Eleanor contributed to the Declaration of Human Rights  Eleanor Roosevelt was a delegate to the United Nations from 1946 to 1953 where she oversaw drafting and passage of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and considered the document which continues to serve as a model for how people and other nations should treat each other.
