Before using a tool, make sure it’s in good condition Check to see that it’s not defective, dull, or broken When using tools, put what you’re working with on a hard flat surface Not These!

If sharp tools are needed (such as knives/blades) direct the strokes/cuts away from your hand and body Death is bad Injury is worse Be aware of others Remember that the safety circle is highly recommended Be safe kids! Or this might happen to you

Store sharp-edged & pointy tools in a safe place If carrying the dangerous! tool, cover point with a cover NEVER run, skip, hop, canter with or carry in your pocket sharp tools without their covers Store tools in a location where it does not get damaged or create a safety hazard
