What do I need to do in order to make a deposit? Anytime you make a deposit into your checking or savings account you will need to fill out a deposit slip. Example 1, Check your understanding A & B.

How do I fill out a deposit slip? Example 2, Check your understanding C & D.

How do I know how much money I have in my account? You have to write everything (deposits, checks written, debit card use) down in a check register. You keep a running balance after each entry into your check register. The balance is the amount of money in your account. Deposits are ADDED and checks written are SUBTRACTED! P. 90, example 2.
