Hymn 367 Day by Day and With Each Passing Moment
In Christ Alone In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light my strength my song This Cornerstone this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace When fears are stilled when strivings cease My Comforter my all in all Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save
'Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For ev'ry sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious day Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory Sin's curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life no fear in death This is the pow'r of Christ in me From life's first cry to final breath Jesus commands my destiny
No pow'r of hell no scheme of man Can ever pluck me from His hand 'Til He returns or calls me home Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand © 2001 Thankyou Music (Admin. by EMI Christian Music Publishing) Keith Getty | Stuart Townend CCLI License No. 2346993
For the Life That You Have Given For the love in Christ made known, With these fruits of time and labor, With these gifts that are your own:
Here we offer, Lord our praises; Heart and mind and strength we bring; Give us grace to love and serve you, Living what we pray and sing. © 1990 Hope Publishing Company Words by: Carl Daw, Jr/ Music by Leavitt’s The Christian Lyre 1830 CCLI License No. 2346993
Let It Be Said Of Us Let it be said of us That the Lord was our passion That with gladness we bore Ev'ry cross we were given
That we fought the good fight That we finished the course Knowing within us The pow'r of the risen Lord
Let the cross be our glory And the Lord be our song By mercy made holy By the Spirit made strong
And the Lord be our song 'Til the likeness of Jesus Be through us made known Let the cross be our glory
Let it be said of us We were marked by forgiveness We were known by our love And delighted in meekness We were ruled by His peace Heeding unity's call Joined as one body That Christ would be seen by all
Let the cross be our glory And the Lord be our song By mercy made holy By the Spirit made strong

Dwell In Me Dwell In me, dwell in me; Word of Jesus, dwell in me. Till Your face is all I see.
Breathe on me, breathe on me; Holy Spirit, breathe on me Breathe on me, breathe on me; Holy Spirit, breathe on me. Be my passion, set me free. Holy Spirit, breathe on me. Holy Spirit, breathe on me. 2005 PsalmSinger Music (Admin. by The Copyright Company) PsalmSinger Music Written by Marty Parks CCLI License No. 2346993
Scripture Reading 2 Corinthians 11:21-31 Page 145 (New Testament)
Christ’s Supply Is Sufficient in Our Weakness 2 Corinthians 11:21-31; Psalm 46:1-11
No one likes being called weak.
The state of being weak; lack of strength An inadequate or defective quality A self-indulgent liking (weakness for a new car) An object of desire (weakness for candy)
Marks for Growth The Challenges Imprisonment Five times with 39 lashes Beaten with rods Stoned Three times shipwrecked Burden of the churches
Mark for Growth Boast in his weakness, why? Paul is identifying that he too has the same weaknesses as they do God knows who we are and what we declare
Weakness Causes Dependence Thorn in flesh (given) Kept from exalting self Sought God for relief (3x) God declares Grace sufficient Power in weakness
Weakness Causes Dependence Paul weakness is an opportunity to depend on God’s strength Power of Christ dwells in Paul’s weakness You can allow God to be your strength in areas you are weak
Weakness Causes Dependence Dr. Thomas H. Holmes from U. of Washington study on stress rating. This study concluded that an accumulation of 200 or more “life changing units” in any year mean more disruption than an individual can stand. On their scale, death of a spouse equals 100 units, divorce equals 73 units, and Christmas equals 12 units
Weakness Causes Dependence From a human viewpoint, they felt no person in their own strength could handle stresses totaling two hundred or more life changing units in one year Paul gathers his strength from Christ
God Supplies God our refuge and strength No need for fear; even if the earth changes Natural events in our life should draw us to dependence on God When dealing with the battles in life
God Supplies God does not move God is our strength Notice the Lord’s work Stop striving against God God is our stronghold
Let’s Consider Weakness is not a failure but an opportunity for God to work In our weakness we can find strength in God Depend on God and not on yourself
Let’s Consider The stresses of life can overwhelm us if we try and get through them alone God can be your refuge and strength God’s supply is like a limitless river Stop striving against God and rest in Him God is our stronghold
