Who is Jesus Christ?

John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

the Word = Logos (Greek) Logos, the Greek term translated into English as ‘the Word’, represented the creative force behind all that exists, the logical order and stability of the universe, and the expression of that force and order.

the Word = Logos (Greek) John’s great news: Logos is a person!! And He wants YOU to know Him!! Logos is God’s expression of Himself to me!!

John 1: 1 In the beginning was (God’s expression of Himself to me), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word (God’s expression of Himself to me) became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 20: 31 …these (things) are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

…To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God… Q: Have YOU received Jesus? Q: Do YOU believe in Him?

Colossians 1: 15 The Son is the image of the invisible God… 16 For in Him all things were created… all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together… 19 For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross.

Philippians 2: 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; 7 rather, He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on a cross!

9 Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord…
