THE OUTLINE OF AN CONCLUSION: SPECIFIC TO BROAD Thesis/Claim Repeat key words from your main points to summarize Clincher – give your reader something to remember

REPHRASE YOUR THESIS: USE A COUPLE OF KEY WORDS AND THEN REPHRASE IDEAS.  Thesis: To have the cute and cuddly qualities that kids want in a pet, but the low maintenance qualities that parents want, buy your child a hamster. Conclusion: A hamster is a pet that will make your children happy, and will meet your low maintenance requirements.  Thesis: Often pets can create an excellent experience for youth, however, a hamster will be more trouble than it is worth. Conclusion: While pets can be a teaching tool for kids, a hamster is just not the right choice.  Thesis: Hamsters, cute and cuddly animals, make excellent pets for people who are busy. Conclusion: Busy people need fun and sweet pets like hamsters.
