Parts of Plants Plant and Flower parts

Parts of a Plant 4 Main Parts of a Plant Flower Leaves Stem Roots Flowers: Flowers contain the male and female parts of the plant. These will make the seeds so that new plants will grow. Leaves: The leaves are the part that exchanges gases. Green plants are able to make their own food in a process called photosynthesis. 4 Main Parts of a Plant Stem: Stems hold plants upright so they can obtain sunlight. Stems also carry food and water to all parts of the plant. Roots: The roots hold the plants in the ground and take in nutrients and water. Flower Leaves Stem Roots

Parts of a Flower Petal Pistil Stamen Sepal Petal: Coloured part of the flower that attracts insects and other pollinators Stamen: Flower part that produces the pollen Sepal: Protected the flower bud before the flower bloomed Pistil: Flower part that receives pollen and makes seeds (pollen is a special powder from the stamen).
