m – slope b – y-intercept (x, y) ordered pair on the line

 We can graph the linear equation quickly if it is in slope intercept form. ◦ 1 st plot the value of b on the y-axis ◦ 2 nd use the slope to find other points on the line ◦ 3 rd draw a line through the points

1 st stepplot b on the y axis

2 nd stepuse the slope to find other points that are on the line.

 Before you graph it, try to answer all the questions for example 4A.  When looking at the domain and range, try to picture the line on a bigger interval. Does the line end anywhere for the y or x values?

 Write the equation first before starting answering the questions  When you look at the domain and range, think about it as real world problem, not just any equation that you graphed.
