 The cost of an ice cream sundae is given by the formula C(s) = 1.50s In this formula, C(s) represents the cost of the ice cream sundae and s is the number of scoops of ice cream. Graph the Equation. What does the slope represent? What does the y intercept represent?

 A generator company installs generators over a number of days. The company is trying to use the equation y = -10X to help them figure out when do they need to re-order generators to have a full stock.  What is the rate of change in this situation?  What is the y intercept?  What is the x intercept?  Draw and label a graph of this situation using the intercepts.  What does the y intercept represent?  What does the x intercept represent?  What is the domain of this situation?  What is the range of this situation?

 A submersible designed to explore ocean floor is at an elevation of -13,000 feet. The submersible ascends to the surface at an average rate of 650 feet per minute. The elevation e (in feet) of the submersible is given by the function.  e = 650t – 13,000 where t is the time (in minutes) since the submersible began to ascend.  What is the rate of change in this situation?  What is the e intercept?  What is the t intercept?  Draw and label a graph of this situation using the intercepts.  What does the e intercept represent?  What does the t intercept represent?  What is the domain of this situation?  What is the range of this situation?
