HVAC Excellence was founded as a not for profit organization in 1994 to improve the technical workforce of the HVACR industry through quality education.

HVAC Excellence verifies that HVACR educational programs meet high standards through Programmatic Accreditation.

HVAC Excellence validates teacher knowledge & competency through Educator Credentialing.

HVAC Excellence Determines through student outcome assessments that HVACR graduates are prepared to enter the HVACR industry.

HVAC Excellence Programs: Identify areas of weakness in education Assist employers with hiring competent technicians Allow the public to identify competent technicians Pinpoint current deficiencies in the technical workforce for education program development Aid manufacturers in warranty cost reduction

Accreditation

Programmatic Accreditation An independent third party non-governmental peer review of an HVACR educational program validating that standards of excellence are met.

Institutional: Applies to the entire school/college and all programs offered. Programmatic: Applies to a single discipline/program. Recognizes an educational program as maintaining standards that qualify the graduates for professional practice or admission to higher institutions of learning. Types of Accreditation

Programmatic Accreditation These standards are designed to assure that our future workforce receives the quality of training required to provide the skills necessary for success in the HVACR industry.

Programmatic Accreditation Standards require a thorough examination of Program mission Administrative responsibilities Finances and funds Curriculum Plan of instructions Facility Equipment and tools Cooperative training Instructor’s qualifications Why Accredit?
