Soda and Mentos By Edward Price

Abstract SODA AND MENTOS The purpose is to see how high the soda goes. Also to see if number of mentos varies. I think that the soda will go 15 feet high. First I combinded the mentos and it did go 15 feet.

Planning Materials:  Soda ((2 leader))  Geiser tube  Mentos

Procedure Gather Materials Put tube on Pull string and hold bottle Measure

Data 1 mentos = 1 in. 2 mentos = 3 in. 6 mentos = 3 ½ feet 11 mentos = 7 ½ feet

What I’ve Learned I have learned that soda and mentos could be explosive. Diet coke will react better then plain coke. The more carbon in the soda will make it go higher. The New Question : What if we put the mentos in and put the cap back on.
