Frog and Toad Frog and Toad Are Friends. This week we read Frog and Toad Are Friends. Did you know that there are many similarities and differences between frogs and toads?Did you know that there are many similarities and differences between frogs and toads?

Skin A frog has smooth, moist skin A toad has rough, bumpy skin

Habitat (where they live) A frog lives mostly in or near water Do you think toads swim?

Toad Sometimes toads will go into water They spend most of their time on land

Swimming Frogs are fantastic swimmers Toads aren’t as good because they have shorter, less powerful back legs!

Jumping A frog hops and makes very long jumps A toad walks instead of jumping

Heat Both frogs and toads avoid direct sunlight They don’t like the heat
