Using Proportions and Indirect Measurements, and Coordinate Geometry and Transformations, To Create A Computer- Generated Scale Model

Step 1 Students began with a sketch (front and corner views) of the Project Frog building, an eco-friendly structure located on Ilima Intermediate School’s campus

Step 2 Students worked in teams and using a 12- inch ruler and various indirect measurements to estimate the size of the structure.

Step 3 Students used Fab-Lab software to generate a scale model of the Project Frog building.

Step 4 Students demonstrated the use of coordinate geometry and transformation in the coordinate plane as they developed their scale model.

Copy of project, along with assessment can be found on SIP website
