A dialogue Manager: Hello, take a seat. Mrs. Black: Hello, thank you. Manager: I´m Jack Smith, product manager and I would like to ask you some questions. First, can you briefly introduce yourself? Mrs. Black: My name is Rebecca Black, I´m from Manchester and I would like to apply for a positions of receptionist in your company. Manager: Thank you Mrs. Black, how did you find out about the job? Mrs Black: I saw you advert in the local newspaper. Manager: Have you worked as a receptionist before? Mrs. Black: Yes, I have. I worked in London for The Blackberry and Son two years ago.

Manager: I see. Why do you think you are the best person for this position? Mrs. Black: In my opinion I can communicate with people and I am very reliable I enjoy dealing with public and I think I am a good team player, too. Manager: Great. Well, thanks for coming, Mrs. Black. We´ll be in touch before the end of this week. Mrs. Black: Thank you, good bye.

Useful phrases Asking about experience: Have you worked in/ as a……..before? Have you got any experience of this type of work? Where have you worked before? Personal adjectives: Reliable, self- confident, hard- working, responsible, good at… Reacting: Really? That´s great! Right. I see. That´s interesting.
