Daniel Chapter 2 The Framework of Bible Prophecy

You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image...

“ This image’s Head was of fine Gold ” (Dan 2:32)

“ its Chest and Arms of Silver ” (Dan 2:32)

“ its Belly and Thighs of Bronze ” (Dan 2:33)

“ its Legs of Iron ” (Dan 2:33)

“ its Feet partly of Iron and partly of Clay ” (Dan 2:33)

“ You watched while a Stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron & clay, and broke them in pieces... ” (Dan 2:34)

“ Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed together... ” (Dan 2:35)

“ And the Stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole Earth ” (Dan 2:35)

The Interpretation

“ You are this head of Gold ” (Dan 2:38)

“ after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours ” (Dan 2:39)

“ then another, a third kingdom of bronze ” (Dan 2:39)

“ the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron ” (Dan 2:40)

“ the kingdom shall be divided ” (Dan 2:41) Divided Rome (Europe)

The Fourth Kingdom (ie: The old Roman Empire) shall be:  Divided  Partly strong and Partly fragile  They will mingle but not adhere to one another The Feet of Iron & Clay = Europe

The Feet of Iron & Clay = Europe Western Europe Eastern Europe

“ In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed ” (Daniel 2:44) Feet of Iron & Clay – Divided Rome (Europe)

The Stone = Jesus Christ Matthew 21:42-44 Psalm 118:22-23 Acts 4:10-11 Ephesians 2:20 Mark 12:10 Luke 20:17 1 Peter 2:7-8

“ And the Stone... Became a great mountain Filled the whole Earth. ” (Dan 2:35) Speaks of the Return of Jesus Christ to the Earth

“And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. ” (Dan 2:35) The Kingdom of God will be on Earth “And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. ” (Dan 2:44)

The God of heaven will set up a kingdom On Earth
