Last year in 7 months we were able to install a new main unit & state of the art surfacing for our children. Help us finish the job by supporting us in raising the additional funds needed to purchase & install swings. At this time we would like you to be aware of the ongoing & upcoming fundraising activities to help raise the additional funds needed. The Playground Committee is selling tickets to the Simon Mall Evening of Giving on November 23 from 7PM – 10PM. Tickets are being sold for $10 each. This entitles you to an exclusive night of shopping at either Walt Whitman or Roosevelt Field Mall. Enjoy an evening of prizes, exclusive discounts, food tasting and entertainment. Tickets can also be purchased at the Vanderbilt Shop & Dine. The Playground Committee is also helping the Vanderbilt Community to go GREEN!! T Tuesday, November 18, :00 PM-7:00 PM at the McDonalds of East Northport (1999 Jericho Turnpike) 15% of all sales will be donated back to the playground committee. Last year we raised over $500! Bring friends and family for a fun night! Please help support our efforts. If you are interested in making a donation please send in the slip below with your donation. Any amount is greatly appreciated! We are asking Vanderbilt Families to please donate empty print cartridges (laser or ink) & old cell phones. There is a bin at school where you can drop off these items. The Playground Committee has made arrangements to receive money back for these recycled items. The Vanderbilt Playground Committee is starting a new recycling program. All proceeds will go towards new swings for the playground. We are collecting empty print cartridges (ink & laser) & old cell phones. We will be collecting throughout the school year. What do I need to do? Look at home or work place for empty print cartridges (ink or laser) and cell phones. Place them in a bag and send them into school. Drop them in the recycling bin at school. You’re done! Watch us collect money for our swings! We also have special programs for work places or businesses that would like to donate their cartridges! We provide the prepaid shipping labels! Questions?
