Pre-School Education

INTRODUCTION Nonbinding until 6 years. From 0 to 3 years is not free. Kindergarden From 3 to 6 years is free. Elementary Education.

CYCLES 1st cycle: –From 3 to 4 years old. 2nd cycle: –From 4 to 5 years old. 3rd cycle: –From 5 to 6 years old.

CLASSROOM Work area –Where the children do their duties. Game area –Reading corner. –Costume corner. –Construction corner. –Symbolic games corner –Meeting carpet.

OUTSIDE AREAS Playground –Elementary playground is separate of the Primary one. Enviromental Area –Greenhouse. –Orchard.

CONTENT Mathematics: Basic number, introduction to sums. Enviroment: Animals, kinds of food (vegetables, fruits…), etc. Initiation to Reading and Writing skills.

AIMS To improve psychomotor hability. To promote participation and cooperation. To acquire reading and writing skills. To develop independence and creativity.

EVALUATION Items model. –Check if the children reach the aims. –Example: Did the child participate in class? A lot. A little. Sometimes. Never

EARLY ATTENTION In this ages is something essential to detect possible disorders or dishabilities as soon as posible for give a fast intervention. This group of people consits of some specialist teachers (speech therapist, therapeutic teachers, etc)

EDUCATIONAL CYCLES 1 Cycle: –1–1º y 2º of primary (6 – 7 years old) 2 cycle: –3–3º y 4º of primary (8 – 9 years old) 3 cycle: – 5º y 6º of primary (10 – 11 years old)

SCHEDULE Continue journey: –Lesson from 9:00am to 11:25am –Breaktime 11:25am to 12:00pm –Lesson from 12:00pm to 14:00pm Double journey: –Lesson from 9:10am to 11:25am –Breaktime 11:25am to 12:00pm Lesson 12:00pm to 12:45pm Lunchtime 12:45pm to 14:55pm Lesson from 15:00pm to 17:pm Parents can choose.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND ENGLISH IN CLASSROOMS New Technologies: –Introduction of TICs. English: –Promotion of bilingualism. –Native teachers. – Teachers with English Master.
