3rd Grade Procedures What are procedures? Procedures are put in place for our classroom so you will know what is expected of you on a daily basis.

Entering Class Procedures Put your backpack away in your locker. Get anything out you may need including your purple folder. Your list of morning work will be on the board. Your morning work will be on your tables. When finished with your morning work put in your Morning Work folder.

Homework Procedure Homework will consist of review from the previous weeks. The homework packet will be given on Monday for the entire week and will not be due until Friday. You will get a mark on your behavior card for not returning your homework on Friday. You may still turn it in late.

“Whose turn is it to talk?” We will all have the opportunity to talk. When it is your turn, we will all listen. When it is my turn, we will all listen. When I raise my hand please freeze, keep eyes on me, and be ready for instructions. I will have something to say.

Absence Procedures I really and sincerely miss you when you are not here. No empty chairs! Do your best never to be absent. I understand sometimes we get sick, but try to always be here. If you are absent an Absent Folder will be at your seat when you get back. Please complete all missed work and return as soon as possible.

Lunchroom Procedures Use your manners. Food belongs on your tray or in your mouth. Clean up your table and the floor around. Talk quietly. Say “thank you” to the people who work so hard to feed you!

Visitor/Substitute Procedures When someone enters the classroom: immediately there should be silence. Continue on with your lesson. I am rarely out, however if I am, please treat the substitute as respectfully as you treat me. I expect the same good behavior at all times.

Morning/Afternoon Pit Procedures Sit quietly. You may read a book or talk quietly. Keep your hands to yourself. Use the stairs when going into the pit or coming out.

Recess Procedures 1.Rocks stay on the ground. 2.Do not play behind the playground wall. 3.Slide with your feet first. Do not climb up the slide. 4.Do not jump out of the swings. 5.Kick and throw balls on the grass areas only. 6.Stay on your playground area.   Treat others the way you want to be treated!!!!!!
